Credit Reports
Pull your free reports, track which bureaus you've checked, and import a report file to speed up filling in your Accounts tab.
📄 Step 1: Get your free credit reports
This app doesn't connect to Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion — no legitimate app can pull your real report automatically, and typing your bureau login into any third-party site is never a good idea. AnnualCreditReport.com is the one source that's actually free by federal law, with reports from all three bureaus available weekly.
Once you have your reports, use them to fill in the Accounts tab (balances, limits, status) and note anything questionable in the Dispute Tracker. Each bureau's report can differ, so it's worth checking all three.
📤 Step 3: Import from a file on your computer
Upload the PDF report you downloaded in Step 1. It's read entirely inside this browser tab — the file is never uploaded or sent anywhere. This is a best-effort parser (tuned mainly around Experian-style reports): it can miss accounts or misread values, especially on other formats. Nothing is added to your Accounts tab until you review and check off what to keep below.
Score Tracker
Log your score each time you check it — the free weekly reports at AnnualCreditReport.com are a good habit to pair this with. Your target score is set on the Overview tab.

Credit Accounts
List every credit account you have or plan to open. Utilization updates live as you type. Past due accounts are grouped up top so you see what needs attention first.
Utilization (balance vs. limit)
Balance by account type
Debt Payoff Planner
Uses your Accounts data automatically. Enter what you can pay extra each month — the highlighted row under each method is your priority account.
Balances by account (Avalanche priority in green)
| Account | Balance ($) | APR (%) | Min. payment ($) | Avalanche rank (highest APR first) |
Snowball rank (smallest balance first) |
Months to payoff (min. only) |
Months to payoff (if focus: min + extra) |
|---|
Green row = Avalanche priority (saves the most interest). Blue row = Snowball priority (fastest single-account win, for momentum). Pick one method and stick with it — estimates are simplified single-account amortization, not a full rolling multi-debt schedule.
Monthly Payment Tracker
Click a month cell to cycle: blank → On-time (Y) → Late/missed (L) → blank. Payment history is 35% of your FICO Score — the single biggest factor.
On-time vs. missed (all logged months)
Monthly Budget
Track every dollar coming in and going out each month. Keeping expenses under income makes it much easier to pay everything on time — payment history is 35% of your FICO Score, the single biggest factor.
Every number in this budget is exactly what you enter — nothing here is pulled from a bank, verified, or checked for accuracy automatically. Building a realistic budget and living within it is entirely up to you; this tab only helps you organize the numbers you provide.
Linked accounts
This app can't securely connect to your bank the way an app like Plaid does — that takes a specialized, audited integration, which this tool doesn't have. Never enter your online banking username or password anywhere in this app. Instead, list your accounts by name below and tag each income/expense entry with one, so you can still see where your money is coming from and going to.

50/30/20 budget guide
A common budgeting rule of thumb: about 50% of income to needs, 30% to wants, and 20% to savings or extra debt payoff. Housing, utilities, groceries, transportation, insurance, and debt payments count as needs; subscriptions, dining, and personal spending count as wants; anything in the Savings & Investments category (plus any leftover money after expenses) counts toward savings.

Credit Report Dispute Tracker
Disputing errors is free with no limit. Bureaus must investigate within 30 days (up to 45 in some cases) and respond in writing. There's no bureau API that lets any tool auto-submit a dispute for you — Letter generates a ready-to-mail dispute letter, and Portal takes you straight to the correct bureau's real online dispute page to finish it yourself in a couple minutes.
Dispute status breakdown
Your info (used to fill in generated letters — click to expand)
Only dispute items that are actually inaccurate, outdated, not yours, or unverifiable. Disputing a debt you genuinely owe won't remove it and can slow down your ability to dispute real errors — the FCRA protects disputing errors, not erasing accurate history.
Bulk actions
"Pending" = anything without a Date filed yet. Review each letter's bracketed reason before mailing. "Expand" only adds a bureau if that item doesn't already have a row for it. A creditor may not actually report to all three, so check each bureau's report first if you can.
Closed & $0-Balance Accounts
What you can actually do here depends on whether the account is helping you or hurting you — treating them the same way is the most common mistake people make.
Closed / $0-balance accounts breakdown
✅ Paid off, $0 balance, good standing
These are working in your favor. Leave them exactly as they are — no letter needed, and requesting removal would only hurt your credit history length.
⚠️ Charged off / collections, $0 balance
Already written off but still showing as a negative mark. If the account is accurate, your real options are: wait for it to age off (7 years from the delinquency date), or send a goodwill letter asking the original creditor to remove it as a courtesy — most effective if you've since paid it off or have an otherwise clean history with them. If anything about it looks wrong or outdated, use the Dispute Tracker instead — that's an FCRA right, not a favor.
🧾 Charged off / collections, balance still owed
You can propose a "pay-for-delete": offering to pay in exchange for the collector agreeing, in writing, to remove the tradeline. Get that agreement in writing before you pay anything — a verbal promise is worthless, and many collectors will refuse or aren't allowed to agree by their contract with the original creditor. If you can't get it in writing, paying still stops further damage and satisfies the debt, but plan on it staying on your report as "paid."

What your FICO Score is built from
Factor detail
| Factor | Weight | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Payment history | 35% | On-time vs. late/missed payments — the biggest lever you control. |
| Amounts owed (utilization) | 30% | Balances relative to limits. Keep under 30%, ideally under 10%. |
| Length of credit history | 15% | Age of your oldest and average accounts. Don't close old accounts. |
| New credit | 10% | Hard inquiries and newly opened accounts. Space out applications. |
| Credit mix | 10% | Mix of revolving (cards) and installment (loans) accounts. |
Core rebuild moves
- Secured credit card — deposit-backed, reports like a normal card, usually $200+ to open.
- Credit-builder loan — fixed payments reported monthly; funds released once paid off.
- Become an authorized user on a family member's older, well-managed account.
- Autopay at least the minimum on everything — one missed payment can cost 50–100+ points.
- Keep utilization under 30% on every card and overall, ideally under 10%.
- Leave old accounts open even if unused — closing them shortens your history.
- Space out new credit applications — each hard inquiry has a small, temporary impact.
Free credit reports & disputes
- AnnualCreditReport.com — free weekly reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion (permanent rule). Also available on the Overview tab.
- Disputing errors is free with no limit on how many items you dispute.
- Bureaus must investigate within 30 days (up to 45 in some cases) and respond in writing.
- Anything incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unverifiable can be disputed.
Watch out for paid "credit repair" companies
- Under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), it's illegal for them to charge any fee before fully performing the service.
- You have 3 business days to cancel any contract with them, penalty-free.
- No legitimate company can guarantee a specific score increase — that's a red flag.
- Everything a paid credit repair company can legally do (dispute errors, negotiate with creditors), you can do yourself for free — that's exactly what this program helps you organize.
If debt feels unmanageable
- A nonprofit credit counselor accredited by the NFCC (National Foundation for Credit Counseling) can offer free or low-cost budgeting and debt management help.
This program is for organization and education only — for advice specific to your situation, talk to a certified nonprofit credit counselor, financial advisor, or attorney.
